Fimco 25 gal sprayer

hello all,
Got 25 gal Fimco sprayer, fit on ATV for spraying around farm. Anyway, has worked well till this year. Pump kicks on builds pressure but doesn't turn/cycle off when pressure is built. Pump just keep running. any thoughts?

Maybe a slight plug in the business end of the wand. Try removing the nozzle and strainers to see if it behaves better.

It sounds like possibly grit in the pump portion not allowing it to build high enough pressure to shut off the pressure switch when up to pressure.

I have to clean the debris out of my pump every so often, it's easy to do. Prolly need to put a screen on the intake one of these days.

If it's a by-pass pump and it's won't cycle after attaining it's desired pressure
it's got a pin hole leak in the diaphram.
I've rebuilt a few in my time but truth be told:
It's just as cheap to toss it and buy another.

Didn't think these pumps cycled either.

Mine will do the same if there is air in the lines. I power it up and then open both the sprayer valve and the gun till I get fluid. From then on it cycles just fine.
