Ford 2600 battery

Good Morning,

I have a 1979 Ford 2600 tractor, and would like to know if a standard car battery with post on top will be ok?

yes it would but for best performance you need a 4dlt battery

I just bought a 4LDT at Tractor Supply for $139.95, that's the best price I could find.

tsc is cheaper.. but check that bat compartment.. not all the later units as I recall had the space for the big battery.
