A buddy is looking buying this tractor and the left side steering shaft from the main assembly to the tie rod piece sheered off. Can‘t seem to find those parts, which looks like would be a spline end rod maybe or a rod and a spline/bushing. Any thoughts on what parts and how one would go about repairing the sheared shaft that comes out the side of the assembly ? I have not physically seen it some I’m also going nuts pics 🤕 Thanks.

That is called a sector shaft. If you could get someone to find The part number you should be able to find one. Sometimes they will cross to several different models and sometimes different brands.

C9NN3575A r/b: 87486877 runs about $2400 if available. Look for a used one at places like Alexander Tractor, Broken Tractor or Ebay. One listed for $600. + $46 shipping on Ebay. You will need the cover gasket as well if that is the only thing wrong with it.

Thanks , crazy how an old part is that expensive, but I think they only made that model a couple years. Appreciate the help.
