My family has had a 1989 Ford 2120 for quite a while now and it has given practically no issues 2300 hours or so on it. However, last night when my father was using it, it began to run slightly rough and sounded almost like it was knocking. Still fires up normal and doesn't seem to hesitate any more than usual. My first thoughts are to change the fuel filter since it's been quite a while, but would a clogged filter have such a dramatic impact in the way it runs? Anything else that I should check? I'm not extremely familiar with diesel motors, but know my way around them.
Thanks in advance,
Bill
