I have an old hat rake Iwant to restore .i need help identifing it .It has a f and h stamped on it in various places .sorry dont know how to post pictures. Any help would be appricated.
If memory serves, Farm Hand made a wheel rake that was very popular in my area. The following link should lead to a photo of what looks to me like a Farm Hand wheel rake. http://www.tractorshed.com/photoads/upload/116370_opt.jpg Is your rake a wheel rake?
If thats a picture of a wheel rake thats not it . Mine is like the 1900 era horse drawn steel wheeled half round steel tines in back. Also uncovered red paint on frame maybe off white or creamy yellow paint on wheels. All parts have number stamped on them starting with the prefix op.Thanks for reply colors on farm hand narrow it down.
Ooooh! I believe what you have is called a dump rake. I thought the f and h probably stood for Farm Hand. They might have made a dump rake too but, I don't remember ever seeing one.
