I'm considering a Kubota cab tractor. I do a lot of work in the woods and find that my current open station tractor can get pretty muddy. Seems like the cabs are sealed pretty tight (no drain holes in the floor) and could be a real pain to get the mud out of.

Could someone with a cab tractor relay their experience on this?

Thanks!

I purchase a new 5240 with cab three weeks ago and cleaned mud out of the cab with no problem. Just pick up the mat and hose it off, hose out the cab and let the doors open to dry.

I just let the mud dry and then sweep out.

Thanks for replies - I didn't realize that the rubber floor mat was removable.

You guys don't happen to know if the rear view mirrors can be completely removed for use in the woods? Just folding them seems like it would hinder your vision.

Thanks!

Thats why I never buy a truck with carpet... I want a rubber floor!

I often recommend a after market cab like a Curtis or Sims when people want to use them in the woods and there is potential damage issues. The cost to repair a full dress cab like Kubota's can get costly with what unyeilding limbs might do.

If you plan on working in the woods for a long time, I would remove the mirrors all together and look over my shoulder. :)
