I have a '73 JD 1020 RU Diesel which I've discovered was made in Manehiem Germany with a French built Engine - all original JD. I purchased the 532 page shop manual which has just a single wiring diagram for what appears to be a 1965-9 IOWA built machine. The German version has about double the number of wires than the diagram shows! Anybody know where I might get a diagram that represents the european built machine?
My History searching tells me that for several years Deere built these tractors overseas for the US market, but evidently didn't think to reflect that in the shop manual!
(Extensive internet searching comes back with the same diagram that's in the shop manual)
