JD 2210 vs. Cub Cadet 7264

You mention mowing 1 acre, and kepping snow off 300ft drive, so i would imagine that the 1 acre is ONLY the size of the area you want to mow, NOT the acerage of you land? The cub seems to be better for handeling the snow and dirt moving, but take into consideration the extra size and weight for mowing.

You might want to look at the JD 4010. Two dealers that I checked price with on the 4010 were discounting it 20% because it is being replaced by the new 3000 series stuff. In driving the JD 2210 and JD 4010, they seem very much the same machine except the 2210 is missing cruise control and dual brakes on the 4010. The 4010 at 20% discount is $300 cheaper than the 2210.

I'm awaiting deliver of my 4010 with 410 loader and LX4 cutter; main delay is getting the toothbar in. The 2210 and 4010 essentially take the same attachments. Think the 2210 has a 210 loader though.

Thanks, everyone for your advice. I have purchased the JD 2210 with FEL, 62C MMM, front snow blower, general purpose tires (rear loaded with Prestone), rear ballast box, Curtis soft sided cab and interior water heater. From what you have said, it looks like it will be ideal for my purposes. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
