JD 5055/5065 price check and questions

Was quoted $30,900 for the 5055E with 553 FEL and $33,400 for the 5065E with FEL. Are these good prices and is the extra 10HP worth $2,500?

Also, what do most folks prefer---telescoping links or the JD quick hitch system? And what type of bucket comes standard with the 553 loader? I assume any bucket can be detached and another implement can be put on the loader arms like a grapple or pallet forks, right?

Deere has their own loader quick attach as standard but you can order a more universal skid steer quick attach. This would make it easier to find different buckets, grapples, pallet forks, ect to fit the loader.

You can get the standard JD quick attach, the skid steer quick attach, or the global carrier. The global carrier is another quick attach system that is becoming an international standard. Definitely worth looking at.
As far as the 3 point, I much prefer the iMatch over the telescoping links.

if i was you id price the 5075 with the powerevser.i gave $34,000 for 7040 rops 4x4 fel hydro shuttle 10 months ago.and the price for those 2 tractors sounds real high to me.

it sounds high to me too. i bought a 5055E in june with ~$1000 in options for just under $29500. having used it almost a year i should have gotten the second remote and i wish i had the power reverser. i like the 9x3 but i wish i had a few more gears. i never got a quote on the 5065.

i have asked about the second remote now and the parts are the same, but if i had bought it with the tractor installation would have been free (i believe)
