I decided to go with a cheaper Sony unit without a CD player. It has USB, so CDs would be pointless. It has a detachable faceplate, I thought those were done away with.

The radio and adapter I got.

Inserting the mounting bracket is just like any other DIN opening. Connecting the included harness with the adapter is easy if you can solder. Obviously. The connections for the rear speakers are not used, but I still connected them. I removed the ATT pigtail from the radio side harness since it's not necessary.

Radio partially inserted. The rear support screw is also the ground screw on this unit, so I waited to snap it into place.

The tractor had the antenna cable and ground inatalled. The mast itself was missing, but it is on the way. I've read elsewhere that the antenna ground is important. I found that the antenna connector ground side is too small for this radio and doesn't make contact. The center pin fits properly. The ground makes up for the lack of connection. I could track down an adapter, but wanted to get it done.

We have radio! I didn't bother with the microphone for the Bluetooth phone connection. I don't think it would work that well with the engine running.

Radio reception is a little lacking with the missing mast. However, touching a socket extension to the mast connection cleans it right up, so it should be good to go.
