Hello,

Should you be able to turn the coupler cw or ccw at all? I'm starting to hear a knock up front, and I'm able to turn the coupler a tad. Its not loose, but I'm wondering if the cushion is worn.

Should there be any play in it or will a new cushion fix that?

Replace the cushion. It will only get worse. You are lucky it is a 50 series. The 30 and 40 series are a PITA to change out!

I took a dive into the front end this morning. Out came the A/C condenser, rad. hoses & lines. The hydraulic pump input shaft had a bad leak so I took the pump right out. Took a look at the cushion and its all mangled so I'm glad I got to it.

I'll need some time to rebuild the hydraulic pump before I get this thing all back together. What a day.

7700 Combine? I had a turbo but sold it to the Mexicans. You want to buy an 8630? :) I have a 331 30' disk to go with it.

That 7700 runs real nice. A/C works nicely as well.

8630... My 2950 and 3140 keep me humble enough :)
