Hey Team,

Per attached, I sprung a fuel leak on my 554. It's the small hose connected from the injector lines to the intake. This I've read where any standard properly size fuel hose will work, just want to make sure. Thanks...

PS. Had to use it the other day to get the fallen tree off my building... :| :) Still going strong!!!

That is the hose from the injector fuel return line (to the tank) to the cold start air pre-heater in the manifold. There is no real pressure involved. Any hose rated for fuel use will work.

Thanks Bob! Couldn't quite figure out why there would be a fuel line connecting to the intake?

Hey Bob,

Found some 1/4" fuel hose lying around. (see pic) Still not real clear on why the fuel line connects to the heater on the intake. I don't see a path for return.

Thanks again for the help!

Think of that device as an electronic cigarette lighter. It actually starts a small fuel fire in the manifold that creates hot air for combustion. It should only work when activated by the pre heat switch.
There isn't an awful lot of fuel in that line. It's not actually a return line because these aren't unit injectors. It's a leak-off line that usually goes back to the tank. Do you also have a line that goes back to the tank?
