Komatsu D21P Dozer

Whats a good price on a New and a used Komatsu D21P-6 dozer Ive been looking at one in Texas for $13,600 new/refurbished comes with a 30day parts warranty I was curios if this was a good price or should i keep looking?

And is this a good dozer or not need to know before i buy one

Compared to other machines at D21P-6, Used D21P-6, D21P-6 For Sale At MachineryTrader.com - Page 1 the price seems to be average or just a little high.

Weighing a little less than 10K pounds it is a small dozer but if you are patient or want a lighter dozer for easier transportation it could be a great option.

Also it appears that the tracks are rubber. Could be good or bad depending on your usage.

If I were spending $13,600 on a used, rubber tracked, 10,000 pound machine I would consider a skid steer that could run other attachments as well as a 6 way blade.

Im kinda needing one for underbrush and small trees i only have 40 acres to clear for now but thought bout doing small jobs with it like site prep and pulling it with a 3/4ton-1ton truck so light weight would be ok for pulling but unno bout pushing bigger trees

I've had a Komatsu D-38 for over a year now, and like it very much.
I hauled it on my gooseneck and 1 ton, but was really pushing the weight limit. The D21 is a pretty limited use machine, 40 acres will take you some time, depending on what you're pushing. I can knock trees over, but no more than about 15" trees.
But, if you want to haul it around and do commercial work with it,it might work for you....
I would also check out a D-31 or D-32, a bit more capable....
