Price Check Kubota M6040F Price check

Going this weekend to negotiate price on a 2009 Kubota M6040F tractor with a RCF2072 shredder. Tractor has about 2100hrs and is in pretty good shape over all. I’ve been given an asking price and I’m wanting to ask TBN what might be a reasonable price for this combo. Tires are in OK shape, sheetmetal is straight and the paint is good. This is a pre-tier IV so no emissions.


I found a 2009 Kubota Wholegoods price list online and this tractor with loader and canopy listed at $29,798 and the shredder for $2,900. I’m ok with the 2wd as that’s what we have ever used on the place.


I briefly looked at the tractor a couple of weeks ago and only took one photo at that time.

That was a great price. Nothing anywhere near that these days. Most of the MFWD 6040s that I’ve seen recently with a loader are $26-32k with cab versions 5k more.

I know I did well on it. The dealer had just taken it in on trade along with an old MF for a new JD.
It had not even been cleaned up when I spotted it.
He was asking $27k, I offered $25k and we settled on $26k.
Prior owner just used it for haying and hauling his maple sugaring stuff around. Bucket still had all its paint.
