Unlike the auto industry that have clearly defined model years tractors don't. Right now Ford is all but giving away F250s with diesel engines ($16K+ off of list) for 2008s because the 2009s are already on the lots. Tractors don't seam to have this problem as unless a real change took place you may not be able to tell how old your tractor is.
You can even see this in the used market. The model and hours on a tractor is used for pricing much more than the year it was made.
