My old Kubota's steering quit working a couple of weeks ago, I took it apart and realized the bearing in the bottom of the column is shot, I got a new one and can't get it to go back together, anyone out there with knowledge on this repair? If so, Please PM me at nspctr1@satx.rr.com

Thanks

It would help if we knew what model of tractor you have and where you are at. I have gone to help others with problems.

Well I guess I didn't pay very close attention. You have a L 225.

Ron,

Steering problems are common to the old L225 tractors apparrently. As stated earlier, the steering quit working on it so I dismantled the column and the box on the top of the tranny, the bearing inside the box at the bottom of the column was toast. I have ordered another bearing to install but is this all that can be wrong with the steering or should I look for something else, All ball joints etc are OK, I believe its an internal problem and just wanna know if this bearing is the culprit..

thanks

btw,
I'm in San Antonio Tx...
