So, I used a friend's Rake, in my mind it sucked and was way too $$$$
I had some old leftover metal and went into cad and did some drawing

Gosh, it's amazing what 2 years does on your welding skills...

They are ugly but good flow, they won't break doing this

lol, no. I did this all this weekend, I meant I haven't welded in 2 years and it looks like it...not pretty but good penetration

curious what type of steel, mild low carbon? annealing or tempering necessary after fabrication? (if possible on low grade steel, not sure)

1/4" A36 steel basic structural for teeth and braces, I will use 2x2x1/4 wall tubing some A36 3/16 plate for braces, everything structural will made of low carbon steel so no tempering or annealing.

I will add a 2" rec. And build a quick release boom for it.

So I ordered my 2in rec. Online from TSC...they were 80% off on sale for the Reese part number, $38 shipped for 2 of them including the $8 ship to store fee, and $2 something tax...azzholes...I may get them in 2 days...1week deliveries between store...😡...I ordered last Saturday...updates maybe next weekend.

I chose these because there are extra mounting holes already attached, for adding stuff in the future

Got 99% done yesterday, still need to drill hole for pins.
Mounted the 2 receivers, this will allow me to remove the Rake and also I can use a 2-1/2 PC of tube to extend these 6 more feet.
