Looking in the 30hp range, how much issue is 3pt lift capacity?

I see ranges from 815lb to 2650lb. With most brands around 1200lb. How much do I really need to run average implements (bush hog, disk, box scraper)?

1200 lbs. will do the things you listed, I carry pallets of firewood and wish mine was rated higher, it does the job, but strains.

I've got a L3400 Kubota. Believe lift cap. is listed around 1900lb. I wouldn't want much less than that. I can just lift a 5x6 round bale. It handles 4x5s effortlessly.

As canoe mentioned.. uper 1-2k limits on the 3pt let you carry round hay bales if needed... I've seen some heavy mowers in the 1000-1200# range as well.

Thats an abnormaly big range. Make sure you look at the measuring point... it maybe the ball ends or the more honest 24" point. Odds are that your 2600lb measurement is at the ball ends, and the lower ones are at 24".

Your right there is a big range and its all at 24". The JD 790 has 815, then it jumps to the 1200-1500 for many models then 2200 range for JD 3320 all the way to 2756 for the Massey 1429.
