I have a BX1500D and I've noticed recently that the fuel barb coming out of the tank won't stay tight. It's not leaking but I feel like if I tighten the barb much more it will just spin in the hole.

Any ideas on a fix? The tank is plastic, barb is metal.

Thank you for reading and/or replying

I would try to tighten.... easy does it.
Is it a nut on the barb or is it just a threaded barb? If it has a nut, any way to hold the barb / hose while tightening the nut?

Can you post a pic? ..... that would help us figure a solution....

It might be a good idea to look around to see if there is a replacement barb available. If so,you can tighten away knowing you have a plan B in case barb strips or breaks. If there's no designated barb for the purpose, one can be improvised if all else fails. The key to what to do and when to do it depend's on whether you can afford letting tractor set idle while you search for parts. Even a replacement tank might be difficult to find. Before using epoxy and such,be aware that reversing the attempt is difficult if not impossible.
