Loss of power

Been meaning to ask this but why does it seem my Kubota L2501 loses forward mementum when I am working the hydraulics? Its a manual trans.

In other words if Im moving in any gear and I use any hydraulic function on the tractor the machine seems to lose just a bit of power

It takes horsepower to run the hydraulic pump with pressure in the system.
