Make sure the motor oil is at a proper level and go use it. Check the oil regularly and note if it falls and by how much if it does fall.:D:thumbsup:

I've had cars that were almost new and when I left the dipstick out once and drove the car for a day or 2, I found the whole underside of the hood covered in oil.

With the dipstick out you end up with a 1/4" hole in an otherwise sealed system. The internal pressure has to go somewhere and it will seek the path of least resistance.

If I am buying a tractor and it is running at a Idle. I pull the dipstick to check for blowback. I also check the breather tube going out the bottom for excessive smoke or oil blowby. If it shows bad at both places, I pass or figure a ring job at least. Ken Sweet
