Perkins AG3.152 Roto-Cap ?

I can't speak to the issues the op found but it is not uncommon to find broken springs and burnt valves along with bad rotators, the small bearing balls will fail, flat spotting or crumbling completely.

My example was one roto cap was chipped. The other two were fine. It looked like metal fatigue to me.

The damaged cap was found during a PM I was performing on my AG3.152, setting valve lash and I noticed the damaged cap. There were no unusual engine noises etc.

Those caps are very very hard to fine !

You can make it a diesel, different connecting rods, pistons, cylinder head, injector pump, and other little parts. Block, crankshaft, camshaft, and some of the other parts are the same for either gas, or diesel.

With only 130hrs on my ag3-152 I hope I don't have to do this... 44hrs since rebuild. The gas engine works VERY well. Mine was seized at about 86hrs due to 41 yrs in a barn.

You probably could have the head machined for hardened exhaust valve seats, and new valves then put regular retainers on them.
