Yes you're right Radium,
The 5M is quite a bit more beefy underneath. It has heavy sectional frame units that run from the front axle support mount all the way back to the massive planetary housings, making it essentially a full frame tractor. Then there is the hitch; I call it drool-worthy (but i'm a little messed up) with the external lift cylinders, huge upper lift arm and mount, it is a replica of the big ag tractor hitches. A 5085M cab is roughly 600 lbs. heavier than a 5083EL and 5105M cab is approximately 1000 lbs heavier than a 5101EL. There are a bunch of other nice features you get with the 5M but for me it was the heavy duty gear down below.
