Wife bought a 2018 XP1000 with a Polaris plastic windshield and a cheap plastic rear window. Wants it to be all season. So I gutted the interior and insulated every panel plus all of the front firewall that was sensible. Squirted expanding foam in the little nooks and crannies. Horribly time consuming. But cheap to do. Bought 32 square feet of adhesive backed, foil faced insulation. Used "Shuretape" on the seams.
Tremendous gain in noise suppression. No history of before/after to declare gains in regards to heating.
Also installed a heater. Last addition was shockpros doors. Rode it 15 miles yesterday at 34F with a light jacket on. Willard was riding along and I had to turn the heater fan off because he was panting....
