I wish to change the rear remote SCV couplers on my John Deere 5520. The existing couplers are the original "quick-connect" style. The new ones are to be the "quick-disconnect style." I am confident that I have matched the threads on the new couplers with the tractor.
I am assuming that I can just unscrew the old ones and screw in the new ones. With the help of some wrenches of course.
My question is the following: Do I need to be concerned about hydraulic fluid that may be under pressure? I plan on cycling the hydraulic control levers before unscrewing the first old coupler.
