My manual states that for a Sotah/Mitsubishi S373D Beaver III the 5-12 is correct for ag front tire. Currently, there is a very worn (not tread!) 5.00-12 Bridgstone (factory original?) tire and a 5.00-12 Starmaxx tire that had holes drilled in it :confused2: Anyhow, should I replace both with 5-12 or 5.00-12? I am confused. I understand those tire sizes are actually different diameter. What does your Beaver have.

Thanks!

If your tractor is two wheel drive it will make no difference. If four wheel drive stick with the manual recommendation. Although either will fit they are not the same outside diameter. The 5-12 is about 2" smaller in diameter than the 5.00-12, probably due to different sidewall heights. For hard questions you can also ask Valley Power

I had to replace mine about 4 years ago - I stayed with 5 - 12. Found a pair of 5-12 REGENCY AG TRACTOR 4 PLYs from Miller Tire that have been working well.

I just bought a Satoh S370D who needs some repairs. The rims are rusted and front tires are cracked. I removed the tires and sanded the rims. I realized that the 2 rims have different width. The left one is 4 inches wide and the right one is 5 inches wide. Is it normal? Is there an issue/problem if I use these? Any idea where I can buy new rims?

I have 5-12 AG tire and plan to install them on the 4 and 5 inch wide rims.
Presently the rear tires are 9.5-16 rear. I will eventually change them for 8-16 AG tire. Any issue if I use my tractor with a mix of 5-12AG and 9.5-16 for a while?

Thanks 20200917_202753.jpg

I also own a Mitsubishi (Satoh).
My fronts were trashed due to Calcium filling by previous owner.
I discovered that 5 bolt 12 inch trailer rims could do the trick and that's what I run, I did however beef up the centers.

The actual rim spec is 5JAX x 12 for the Satoh/Mitsubishi rim. (from shop/parts manual)

As to your rears, make sure the rolling distances are the same otherwise you will be putting uneven stresses on the differential.

Thanks for the info.

My front rims are 4 bolt pattern - 120mm circle, center bore 80 mm, not a 5 bolt pattern.
One is 4 inch wide and the other is 5 inch wide.
They really look alike and seem to be original rims.
What bugs me is: should I look for a 4 inch rim or a 5 inch rim or keep that as is?

For the tire size/change from ES to AG, I will not put in 4WD until the change is complete.
Thanks

If U check out utility trailer rims you'll find that in 12 inch they exist in BOTH 4 and 5 bolt pattern if that helps.

Good to know.
I will look for a 4 bolt pattern.

The main thing is the space between the spindles with wide rims. --- I would go with the 4" ones if it were mine.
