Hello. I have a Craftsman Garden Tractor Mower that has a steering challenge that is getting worse. I have tried to adjust the steering rods, and maybe it is a better. I am just sure if I need to keep trying adjust the steering rod, how much adjustment there, or if there is something else that is wrong.
Basically, when I drive straight, the wheels are toed in. If I steer hard to make a tight turn, the wheel practically goes side ways. Granted, there is some ware on the steering rod assembly and the union. But, it would seem that I should be able to adjust the sloppiness out of it. I just don't think I did enough adjustment. But, before I got after it again, I thought I would see what you all think. And, if I need to get a part, I am not sure what part to be looking around for.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
