Last year I bought the wife a new t2380, I didn't pay to much attention to the deck. It's a hanging deck not a floating deck..It gives a very poor cut in my yard, very uneven and gouges. Other than that it seems like a nice machine..Now she wants her Simplicity back. Anyone else have this problem with their deck..thanks

I had a T2380 demo for a weekend in Jan '10. TBH I didn't think the
48" should have been 2 blades . A 3 blade cut is better , and
misses less long stalks. The outer pivot points are far from the
edge of the deck , so the dipping "left to right" is not good.
The roller-balls could be lowered more ( but only 1 a side ...... )
if your Honey doesn't alter the height for different parts
of the lawn she mows.
The combined Mulch or Cut deck pressing ,is not a sufficient
air-space shape to get some velocity going in there IMO .

cut complaints are not common with the T's. The new decks are an improvment over the older T's and way better than the cub cadets that we also sell. Everyones conditions are different though.

This week when she mowed she left the chute open and didn't mulch, also I had her slow down on her turns etc...Had a much better cut except a few places of stripes where it cut one edge shorter..The Simplicity dealer only offered me $2800 on trade, she better get used to mowing with it
