Tractor
nothing yet
So my shopping has turned up some interesting alternatives, on of which is a 2013 33 hp tractor with back hoe and loader and cab in Canada.

Anyone with experience in bringing a unit built for Canada to US? Safety systems and emissions are tow obvious issues. Import duty another.

Before you ask, the Canada version is MUCH less expensive - five figures.

2012 Deere 3720 cab with loader and backhoe with 200 hours in Northeast US
2013 Kubota 3550 HSDC cab with loader and backhoe with 500 hours near toronto

There is no duty on used equipment/vehicles.

Dealer emailed this morning and advised there is $400 duty.
Kubota US called and advised their system will NOT have information needed to process any warranty claims on a unit with a Canadian serial number. Waiting on the serial number now.

That sounds more like the brokerage fee. Duty would be many more times that if it applied.

Lot of variables here. Is dealer arranging to have it sent down to you ? If yes, they will be using a customs broker to do all the paper work for fast and easy border crossing.

If you are going to get it your self, then best to contact Customs/Border Services to find out exactly what they require for you to import to the U.S.
