I’m asking $1,850, but just want it gone, the longer it sits, the lower the price I’ll take.

Wow. That's a beauty! You can't touch anything even close to that for that $.

Thanks! It’s been a good mower for me. Forgot to mention the tires are 80-90% good, and the battery was new from Costco earlier this year.

I’m pretty happy/proud of how the rust removal and repainting went last winter so I’m putting up a few more pics. If I own it through this winter, I‘ll probably give the same treatment to the deck, treating it electrolytically, priming and then painting with Rustoleum‘s JD yellow (wheels are painted with that too). Not painting the deck because it will sell for any more money, but just because it’ll be a project to make it a little better and give me something to do. I like this kind of “they don’t make it like this anymore” equipment.

The history of it that I know about it is: I paid $950 for the mower in May 2017, then in 2018 put new tires on it (Carlisle Turf Master tires from Amazon) along with having the deck serviced at Washington Tractor, including the replacement of the spindle bearings replaced for about $1,500. The tear down and clean-up/repaint was finished about a year ago when I was still planning to keep it longer term. I recently got the okay from management to get my dream machine and I signed loan docs last week for it, I’m still awaiting delivery…but the sooner this goes, the sooner I regain some storage space…

The replacement is a Kubota B2601 with just everything but a mower. I‘m planning to let the yard mostly grow native plants and things good for bees, the part that we keep as lawn that does need to be mowed I’m going to get one of those roomba type mowers to take care of it for me…

Sorry for dribbling in info, also wanted to say that all the green paint, with the exception of the hood, is Rustoleum JD green. The hood OEM paint job I hit with polishing compound and brought back the shine.

Also, the wheels had the tire beads broken, then I used sandpaper to scuff the rim edge, valve stem surfaces, and anywhere else with rust with sand paper, treated it with Permatex rust neutralizer, then painted them with Rustoleum JD yellow and installed new valve stems.

I’m not a pro painter, but am happy with the results. I also am pretty confident that rust on this mower will stay at bay for many years to come.

Oh, and the reason the flywheel is yellow is because I had the cover and sheetmetal off the engine, and thought hitting the rusty flywheel with rust neutralizer would be a good idea. Then, that looked like crap, so I couldn’t leave it as is and decided I had to cover that with paint.
