Hi All.

I have a B3000 and when I look at the Dimension specs on "TractorData" it shows a "Width" of 53.7".

But yet, shows a "Wheelbase" of 65.6".

I would have thought the wheelbase measurement would also be the width?

Is the Width measurement just for the physical portion of the tractor, excluding the outer measurement wheel to wheel?

I am confused and hope someone can give me an explanation that my meager mind can comprehend.

Thanks !

Wheelbase is the distance from the front wheels to the back wheels.

Width is the distance from one side to the other.

Tractor spec for width is traditionally the width outside to outside of R1/ag tires, with rear tires centered on centers of front tires.

This from days when drawing a moldboard plow was the primary task for tractors.

Sometimes you see "tread width". This is width from center of one rear tire to center of other rear tire. Tread width does not communicate useful information to me.

After re-reading my reply, I hope it doesn't seem as I was being snarky.
I was just being quick w/ cut & paste.

Nope, it seemed like a very legitimate suggestion. Not Snarky.

Thanks !
