I was reading from the forums to pass the time while sitting in a hotel room five states away from home. Some of the posts I read started me worrying that I may have gone past the point where I should have performed the first service on my new 7610.

I think the manual says the first maintenance needs done at 100 hrs, but I have seen some members saying it needs done at 50 hrs.

Since I cannot look at the manual until I get home to see what all needed done and when I should have done it, can someone help me out?

Also, what is the average cost of the first service if you perform it yourself?

Thanks in advance.

Usually, a new tractor will need oil, hyd. fluid, and both filters changed at around 50 hrs. due to the engine "breaking in." If you went a little over the 50 hr. limit, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it, but go ahead and get it taken care of as soon as possible, or your tractor will sustain undue engine wear.
It will probably run you between 80.00-100.00, but it's well worth it.
Best of luck.
