That's not an abnormal amount of oil for a 36 year old tractor to leak. It's DEFINATELY not excessive. Simply replacing the oil pan gaskets should stop it completely.

That does look like an isolator valve. Where you see "open" and the arrow, try pulling (or screwing it if it's threaded) the stem AWAY from "open". If it moves, that should close flow to the loader. Then try the lift. In any event, you'd be better off with the blank plate that replaces that item.

According to serial #, that's just past mid-year production 1972. (probably July or August)
