Default Minimum distance between tire and inner fender?

What is the minimum safe distance between the inner side of tire and fender on a 12,000 trailer with torflex axles?

I can noy give you a spec but I would try dropping the pressure to say 35 from the 80 to give you a idea how the tire flexes under load. I would want 1" on top of that.

You were VERY close... Official word from Dexter is 1-1/2" for the Torflex axle. I'm building a set of fenders and wanted to make sure. Thanks.
