    Default 8 x 16 front tire

Where is a good place to find decent prices on new Ag tires? Been a couple of years since I bought any and I am shocked at how much they are going for. Several quotes over $150 plus mounting for each tire.
Seems terribly high for a tire that small. Am I just being a cheap skate?

That does seem steep. I priced front tires, Titan, R1, - 9.5 x 24, 6PR at a local tire store - Les Schwab. They are $85 each and that includes installation. Now if you are talking the rear tires - Firestone, R1, - 16.9 x 28, 6PR & Rimguard filled - $1250 per tire.

$85 seems reasonable but $150 per tire plus mounting seems a bit high

Just called my local Les Schwab tire store and they quoted me $160 each plus mounting. I asked him about the cost of a 9.5 x 24 6pr and he said they get $240 each for those.

Last year I bought two 9.5x24 tires out of a place called "Pete's Tire Barn" and they cost me $219 per. Those were 8 ply. 4 years ago I bought two 7x14 R1's and that cost me $115 per mounted. These were all BKT tires which held up well with exceptional traction.

Well - there can't be that much difference in price between Ea WA and Colorado so I would say that the local dealer here must have checked the wrong size. I guess I should have bought a pair at that time. It did seem like a rather reasonable price - ha,ha.
