- Bobcat Toolcat High Flow Turbo C-series
I just bought a used Bobcat SP5 spreader for a pretty good price and then subsequently found out from looking at the Bobcat Spreader Spec that Bobcat doesn't list the Toolcat for the SP5 but rather the HS8, which I hadn't even heard of before. The last time I looked, I thought that there were only two spreader models, the one that went on the truck bed and the one that mounted on the skidsteer. And both would work with the Toolcat.
Comparing the HS8 and the SP5 specs, it looks like the main difference is the HS8 uses a hydraulic motor and the SP5 uses an electric. Also, the HS8 is more that twice as heavy with more loading capacity and a smaller spreading pattern.
By any chance does anybody have an SP5 spreader that they're using with a Toolcat? I'm wondering why Bobcat no longer lists the SP5 for use with the Toolcat since as I remember they used to.
