As I was getting out of my tc the other day a strong wind gust grabbed the door, the stitching that keeps the door from opening too far ripped and allowed the door to hit the bed of the tc. This inturn broke the large piece of glass out. Bobcat rep/warranty approval said this has never happened before. Has any one else seen this. I think the glass is about $400.00. Thanks.

Yes, I have had the strap 'hinge' break on one unit. I have also had the plastic hinge for the rear section of the drivers door break as well. Fortunately, neither event broke the window. As painful as the price of the window might be, count your blessings that it was not the windshield. The windshield is not cheap and the freight cost felt like an armed robbery...

I had the same problem on the Versahandler. Fortunately no glass was broken. I had some thick nylon strap, but no way to stitch it together, so I made a loop and bolted it together with machine screws, nuts and fender washers.

It works gooder-un! :D

Guess I should do it to the Toolcat before the original strap breaks.
