I'd really like to get the exhaust up and away from the cab better than the side exist especially when snow blowing deep cuts or working against a side wall. It would be nice if I could do it with off the shelf parts and cob something together that didn't look too bad.

Has anyone done this? Is so photo's would be of help.

Thanks and Happy New Year!

Yes, this is a must for a D series Toolcat when blowing snow or even general use. The exhaust can be run up the side of the Toolcat by cutting the exhaust pipe a few inches after the muffler. Remove the right rear plastic quarter panel and cut a slot for the new exhaust pipe to exit. have a local muffler shop add some two inch pipe and bends so it goes up the side of the machine. Add a reinforcing strap from the muffler to the new tail pipe just above the right rear quarter panel and below the dump box. Don't go too tall or the new tailpipe will vibrate too much and crack off after awhile. If you need to go all the way to the top of the cab, then you need to add a flex exhaust joint and then run a straight pipe up the side of the cab. This is because the engine is on rubber mounts and the cab is not. see attached photo. tailpipe.jpg
