OK, thanks. So I can begin looking for a used G model.

Yep, make sure that it has the traction control switch on the dash.

Oh, it's not a standard item, but an option?
Were there any improvement s made within the G model (2014 to present) that I should be aware of?

My biggest buyingissue is the mowers. I don't know if the twin spindle brush cat or the 90" finish mower is the mower I want? I need to be able to mow grass, but sometimes it will be very tall.

Standard on the 5610 and optional on the 5600.

Don't know about improvements within the series.

You would need to demo the mowers to find out. I already had the 7' brush hog when my wife bought the first Toolcat, so it is the only one we have used.

I rented a toolcat with the twin spindle bobcat brushcat mower and thought it was excellent with almost finish mower cut quality.
On the PTO on the 5610: am I understanding correctly that this is an electric PTO? Not a shaft driven off the transmission?
Is there a different "feel" to it when running a mower off of it? Dos it have some kind of slip clutch protection?

It is a 25 hp rated 540 rpm hydraulic motor. Can't use PTO and front Aux Hydraulics at the same time.

Never ran a mower on it, only the neighbor's post hole digger.

Brush hogging the fence line at the road, next to the power line:

There is a deep ditch right in front:

the mower is out over the ditch:

Backed up:

Backed up some more to show what it looks like as you approach it:

That might keep a lineman from falling into it.

I love those tool cats. When you get a chance, could you give us the occasional update on it?
Time for the occasional update.

Toolcats don't have a Crab Steer switch like the telehandlers do, but you can do a manual crab steer.

In All-Wheel Steer, turn the steering wheel to set the needed angle of the rear wheels. Then switch to Front-Wheel Steer and drive it away from the fence you were against. :D

When mowing along a tree lined area, I offset the rear wheels to cause the deck to mow farther over, keeping the cab farther from the trees.

This is what it looks like moving straight forward with the offset:
