Finally had a chance to run the Toolcat with the 72" mower. Adding an additional strip of foodplots in some CRP ground and the long grasses were not cooperating with the moldboard plow.
I set the mowing height to the highest level (5.5") and cut three mower widths. I only went over it one time and was impressed at how well it did. I ran about 3mph due to the roughness and it did not struggle at all. I did find out the safety shutoff does not work on this unit as I can pick the mower up and it keeps running. I suspect that will be addressed when Bobcat comes out to do the safety notice work.
There was a steady cross wind when I mowed. Sure was nice sitting on the cab watching all the dust floating around outside. Cleaning off the mower was easy too, pick it up, tilt the front of the mower down, shake it a little, brush off what's left and your done.
I'm beginning to think a good solution for mowing the CRP ground at the 10" minimum would be the 90" mower adapted with a custom set of bigger wheels and support bar that allows for higher mowing settings.
Attached is a pic of the unit from the front.
