Yeah, you know it's back there, but she pulls it pretty good and the 5 braking axles and the Jake brake slower her down

That is awesome! I know 5.9 Cummins can pull the load. I pull 13,700 pounds with my 4 speed automatic Ram 2500 rated for a 9800 pound trailer. I have been wondering about pulling a 442 with a 3500 dually, as I have been thinking of getting a mini excuvator in that tonnage. How often and far do you pull this load? Also, why a three axle trailer instead of a dual tandem trailer? I can see having 3 braking axles over 2, but is it that much better than have two more tires gripping the pavement?
hugs, Brandi

How does the 2500 tow with the 6.0L? My 95 F350 is on its last legs and I'm looking at an 04' 2500 with a 6.0L. Towing mileage decent?

The 6.0L is quite a strong gaser but is known for poor fuel economy. I get 13-14mpg hwy not towing. Towing 5-6k it gets around 10-11mpg.......pulls great can hardly tell there is a load. Towing 12k it gets around 7-8mpg......hills and take offs are sluggish but it will pull this load. I have been towing local (5-6k) maybe once or twice a month so the poor fuel economy was ok, but now I'm starting to tow more often and with more weight (12k) about to upgrade to a diesel........Mike

Nice rigs.
Which engine in your GMC?
Nice Mahindra. Which model? (Mine is a 2008 Mahindra 5525).

Im a small fry in towing compared to some of your rigs I have seen. But here is my lowly set up. Venerable ol 1988 Dakota 4wd, 3.9L V6 5spd. Extra HD suspension package and reese hitch. Trailer is brand unknown, resembles some of the Snowco and Nomanco trailers. I had to get it plated as a home built as there was no title or a single number stamped on it. I replaced all the lights and painted it to match the Dakota. All we tow is our 125 Cub Cadet on the trailer and the JD GT275(wifes tractor) in the bed to the various plowing events and shows we attend. Cheers Mike and Michele T
