Your towing rigs and trailers

I love the look of that truck. What do you have in the back of that thing? Airbags? Or is it just hard as a brick? Tough looking truck

I agree. I had a Green F-350 Powerstroke 4x4 that looked just like that one. That body style really put Ford on top. Still a great looking truck nearly 20 years later.

Nice rig. Also like that Mahindra 5500. Mine is a 2008 Mahindra 5525.

How is the turbo working out on that tractor? read some on it but havent seen any at the dealership yet.

No turbo on my 5525, 4 cyl NE452R engine, normally aspirated.

The 3 cyl NE352 engine is turbocharged and intercooled and is/was available on the 5525. I've never seen one of those.

no air bags rides like a tank specially pulling that trailer with tractor on it... 97 was last yr of that body style, and i figured it might fit someone's fancy in a few yrs,,, $$$$ you just never know....

So far, so good. Only have about 100 hours on it.
Just got the check air filter for clog warning light. I'll tend to this next week.

Here's mine, old school but still gets the job done:
Truckpics.jpg

It's an '88 F-250, 8800 GVWR, 460 FI, ZF5-spd, BW1356 floor-shift T-case, D50 TTB front, Sterling 10.25" rear, 3.55 limited slip. Also has a 2.5" tuff-country suspension lift, 33" tires, rear overload springs, class 5 hitch and gooseneck hitch. Tows great for what it was intended (10-12K), still gets 13mpg on the highway and about 9-10 towing a full load. 230K on the ticker and counting.

This is the only pic of my trailer:

Its a late 70's vintage 8000lb 18' equipment trailer, not much to look at, its seen better days. Hopefully upgrading to a 10K hudson or something similar soon.

Also pictured in that shot is my off-road toy being used for temporary tow-rig duty (due to the deep snow). Its a '79 F-150 with a warmed up 351W, NP435 4-spd, NP 205 T-case, D44 front, 9" rear, 4.10 gears, locked F/R, 36" tires, etc etc.

That 88 is one sharp looking truck! Never been a Ford fan but that just looks sweet!

Ditto, except for the never been a Ford fan part. :)

Thanks, everyone wonders why I don't put a flatbed on it for work duty, but to me that would ruin the look. Its set up now about how I think it should have been from the factory, and it will stay that way.
