Your truck is identical to my uncles V10 F-350. Nice truck.

For options it also hasoff road pkg, shift on fly, limited slip, 4x4 off road pkg, powerscope tow mirrors, alum wheels, 6 way power seats, adj gas/brake pedal and last but not least and the most important that other trucks don't have is that Tailgate Step.

Same with my Uncles. We upgraded the hitch to a Reese Titan because he pulls a 25,000# trailer with it a few times a year. What gear do you have? His is a 4.30 limited slip. Smart man getting the F-350 over the F-250.

How heavy of a trailer could you tow with such a hitch? I know in all of Ford's literature they give a tow limit of roughly 13,000 pounds for all their trucks via bumper pull. I figured that number was partly limited by the hitches themselves, but how heavy of an equipment trailer could one reasonably expect to pull with a setup like your uncle's without squatting the rear too much?

As to johnk, nice rig. I think that it very similar to what I might look for when I pay my half ton truck off to keep strictly as a heavy hauler.

Here's my setup. My hunting property is 50 minutes from my house so I transport for brushogging and food plots.

I have 4:10's. Empty on the highway I have got 14.8 MPG on 200 mile trips. Can't complain about that. It actually gets better milage on the highway loaded and unloaded than my 5.4 three valve 250 did. The V-10 gives the grunt when needed pulling big loads but like everyone says the 5.4 is also capable... Just glad i got the V-10 in my newer model truck because of the no longer available in these models... I'm very happy with it. :)
