Last year my wife and i were going to buy a navigator. We weren't real impressed with the engine's output compared to the other SUV's we looked at.
Anyway, I noticed when I was more infomed on the Navigator, that Ford planned on a future 6.2L "Boss" V-8 gas engine in '08-'09. I think it was listed with an output of 360-400HP and 400+ ftlbs of torque depending on application. I think you'll see this engine replace the V-10 this fall. |

I hope not. V10 looks like a good option for the occasional tower in the Super Duty line.
Now 400HP and 400+FT# of torque in a F-150 looks like fun. Sign me up. One other thing is they said the fuel economy has gone up due to the new tranny and engine redesigns. Chris. |

Builder what did you think of the 5.4 coupled to the 6-speed in the navigator? My dad just got one and the 6 speed deffinately makes a difference compared the 4 speed in my Super Duty.

In the end, my wife liked the Volvo XC-90 with the Yamaha V-8. The thing is just smooth as silk and she liked the smaller size. I think the new 6.2L Boss V-8 will really help the 'Gator sell better. |
