Default Does anyone have a new dodge 4500 or 5500?

I know I am only 13, but I am the family researcher and am enlisted to find out information about the new Dodges. Does anyone have one?

I don't have one. Did see them at the PA farm show. Nice trucks.
Here's some info on them Dodge chassis cabs: Medium-duty Dodge Ram 4500 and 5500 pickup trucks

I have seen one in traffic; it looked big. I own a 2006 Ram 2500 4x4 diesel, which I'm pretty happy with. I will bet you find out the most by asking about 2007+ Ram 3500 dualies, which are very similar to a 4500 except for the frame and GVWR. The main question on my mind would be efficiency and mpg of the Cummins ISB motor now that it has 2007+ emissions equipment. I have not heard anything good or bad. If your family is considering buying one, be sure to check out the Sterling Bullet, it is the same truck with a different badge and different dealers - price and service would be the comparison points.

I suggest you go to Turbo Diesel Register and do a search

You can read all you want, but you can't search or post unless you are a member. JC

I saw three of those sterling bullets on the back of a flat bed the other day on the interstate, no beds on em, but they were nice looking trucks.

I really like the looks of them too. One thing to keep in mind is that they come with 19.5 wheels and tires and those babies are pricey when you go to replace them. If you were just using on the farm I would go with the 3500 chassis cab personally. They have a little stiffer frame and have the solid front axle on the 2wd. The motors are doing good now they had some sensor problems when the new motor came out but think they have that cleared up now.

Only way you are getting 33 mpg is if you put it in neutral and have somebody else push from behind with another truck.

Cwilson made a typing mistake. It should have said 3.3 MPG
