H & H Trailers

I'm researching different brands of trailers. Anybody have hands on experience with H&H trailers? Specifically, their Speedloader models- either manual or electric tilt- what do you think of them? Also, can anybody speak to their E-track component, how it works, and whether you think it's a valuable addition? Any other comments are welcome, too. Thanks.

I have an 06 speedloader 8.5x20'. Mine was manually pumped. I converted it to electric / hydraulic. I also welded on my own D-rings where I wanted to put them and added an 8K winch. There are many pics in photos/other/mahindra pgs 6&7. Here's a couple. If you are buying, I'd suggest getting the electric - hydraulic over the manual or convert a manual one like I did. Manual takes way to long to pump up tilt bed (unless you're into body building and need to work your upper arm strength). I don't have the E-track, I'd rather fasten things down to D-rings. Overall I like the trailer, I think its well built. There were no dealers in NY so I drove to PA and picked mine up. I wanted a trailer 82" inches between the fenders and 20' long holds about anything I need to tow. Saved a few bucks paying cash too. Even adding in the cost of fuel and meals down and back it was still less expensive than anything comparable in size I could find locally.

I have a 2004 24' speedloader electric tilt with torsion axles, 14K axles, heavy duty fenders and removable rack in the front. Love the trailer. I had them also install a set of ramps for the back as well. the ramps store under the floor. I bought the E-track also. I removed two of the floor boards and dadoed the wood down about 5/8" so the track sits flush with the surface. Ran the track the length of the trailer in 2 strips and secured with 1/4" grade eight bolts into each crossmember which are 14" on center. I like the track but I would not use it to secure heavy loads. I have on occasion, pulled the rings which go into the track out. The track just isn't designed for heavy loads or lots of pull with binders. The tie down rings will bend the edges of the track and pull out. I think it is in part due the angle of the pull. The first time it happened, I forgot to remove a chain from my skid steer. Moved the skid steer slightly, and popped it out without any significant effort. I added some D rings for heavy loads or tie to the stake pockets. I also put a 9K wench mounted on the very front of the trailer (reason for removable front rack). The wench runs off the same battery as the trailer. Some guys don't like the torsion axles but IMHO they are great. The ride of torsion axles is just so much better than standard axles when the trailer is empty. I notice this more with trailers that have very heavy rated axles (12K or 14K). On rough roads the torsion axles are very smooth compared to standard axles. Doesn't shake your truck on rough roads. I have owned several different brands of trailer and the H & H is my favorite.

I have a H&H motocycle trailer., and several friends have H&H's all are happy with their work!

Just read this post about the H&H trailers. The tilt trailer is the type I would be interested in whenever I decide to get one.
I went to their web site to check them out and did a dealer search, it looks like there are no dealers any where on the east coast anymore.
Maybe their dealer search tool isnt correct???

About same happend here, I got all wanna be a dealer things, It may not take much to be a dealer and get a good price on yours and make a few $$ on the others

I love E-track. I put a bunch of it down in the floor of my toy hauler RV, great stuff for accomodating almost any situation, I have an assortment of clip-in rings and short straps with rings to tie stuff down.
One thing I found for anyone adding E-track- shop carefully, I found a local truck supply place will sell me a 10ft piece for about the same as Northern Tool wants for a 2ft piece

Since you are in PA, Morchesky trailer sales is where I bought mine. They are in Ebensburg. Their number is 814-344-8484. I bought my 06 in Sept. 05 I would guess they still sell them. They were great with me. I made the deal on the phone and made arrangements to drive down and pick it up on a Sat. Usually they close at 3PM. I left at 8:30 AM assuming a 5 1/2 hour ride (according to mapquest) but it turned out to be a little over 6 1/2 hrs for me. I called them before 3 and they waited for me to get there. When I'm in the market for another trailer I'll call them again.

PS I checked the H&H dealer locator and did not find Morchesky listed as an H&H dealer. Perhaps they don't deal with them anymore but it still wouldn't hurt to call providing they are still in business and what brand they sell now.
