For Illinois...
A combination of vehicles specially designed to transport motor vehicles may have an overall length of 65 ft. plus a front overhang of 3 ft. and a rear overhang of 4 ft. on Class I and II highways. On all other highways and streets, the maximum overall length is 60 ft. including load. http://www.cyberdriveillinois.com/pu...dsd_x14210.pdf

Here is the only shot I have of the tractor on the trailer. The backhoe is right at the back of the trailer. Balance is good with the box blade.
No load leveling hitch used. I already had an extra leaf put in my rear springs as the dakota stock springs are soft and would drop most of the travel with only 600lbs in the box. ![]()

Don't have a picture of your model of tractor, but, this is a Mahindra 2615 (I thinks it's larger then the Kubota your speaking of) loaded on a 16' dove tail with the box scraper up front, brush hog attached to the back, farm blade on top of mower. There would be plenty of room for a backhoe without the mower and box up front. Under the 7000 GVW trailer weight (trailer, tractor, implements) and I pull it with a 1/2 ton Dodge (Hemi). Pulled it over a 4500 ft pass with a 7% grade on the other side and trailer handled well. I don't pull it all the time, but the 16' works for my needs. Bought the trailer new with 4 electric breaks and break away system for 1795.00. It also serves as a dump trailer (with sides and steak pockets), hauling lumber, a car, etc.
