Default Wiring diagram for trailer w/brakes?

Does anyone have a good wiring diagram for a typical trailer with battery back-up for the electric brakes?

I need to rewire my car hauler. The lights work fine, its the braking system that is FUBAR. The original manufacturer did some strange wiring. some how using only 4 wires into the 7way plug. Someone they piggybacked the brakes off one of the other wires, probably the brake lights. They charged the battery off the running lights. To make a long story short I had to replace the wiring going to the truck, thinking it was a normal wiring setup but once I got it all ripped apart realized that something wasn't right. So basically now I have a trailer with the lights working but no brakes. I really just need to know how to wire the emergency brake battery into the system so it charges and actually applies the brakes when the pin is pulled out. I am sure after tracing things out I can figure it out on my won but a diagram would make my life easier.

Thanks
