Re-reading my post, it sounds like I rebuilt the trailer hitch bolt-by-bolt. It was actually the 1978 Honda Civic that I rebuilt bolt-by-bolt. Drove it through College. That is when I mounted the Pep Boy's trailer hitch.

No wonder you had to rebuild it bolt by bolt. Must've needed a new paint job too?
