I have a Moritz 6x10 dump trailer that I use more on the property behind the tractor than on the highway. But at least the option is there if I need it. Beware even that 6x10 can weigh over 12,000lbs with a load of dirt on it. I've weighed it before with a load on.

I really like some of the others suggested. But, this one cost less and is better matched to my garden tractor, weight wise.

Yes there was a thread where a guy built an electric over hydraulic little trailer, and it was nice. You could probably add electric over hydraulic to a CMI trailer. I also found one commercially. But, can't remember whose it was. I think it was cost aroun $1500 though.
